Advertising is space that was always interested me and while studying at OTIS I worked in one of my classes to explore mini-campaign ideas. In two years following I've become involved with AAF and their National Student Advertising Competition. Through the class I've gained experience in the advertising pipeline and have worked on concept, creative, and production.
For last year's campaign, Tai Pei, my role was producer.
For this year's campaign, Ocean Spray, my role was creative director.
The best part of the Ocean Spray NSAC experience was learning not only how to lead a team, but how to be a good team member. I used to dread group projects; conflict, long nights, overall bad experiences. Working with 15 other people, some of whom I’d never met, sounded like a downright nightmare. But through this project I came to see what make a good team is trust, communication, respect, and hustle. If you’re inspired and working hard, the people around you will follow suit. My team became my family and we worked to create not only a great campaign, but one we really believed in.
